So I started this giveit100 challenge to swim for 30 minutes a day for 100 days. Supposedly to remove fat from my belly and at least to lt myself have some non-stress excercise.
People who know me might already know that one of the things that I hate is sweating. So swimming is naturally my best fit to excercising since I'm all wet to begin with.
So I started on the 2nd of January, scheduled to finish on... who knows when. Let me check my calendar for a bit.
And after a few attempts at my secondary brain (google, but my wife says its actually my primary brain), and finding nothing because my secondary brain isn't intelligent enough to answer my obscure query, I'm supposed to finish on...
11th April 2014.
Hey, it's my brother's birthday.
So anyway my current standing is, 21 days in, 5 days skipped, so 16 days done.
I skipped today since Azad's not well and I don't feel its proper to leave my unwell wife with my unwell son.
So I made up with 30 minutes of Just Dance 2014.
I have a slight interest in Sentai Express now.
Anyway back to swimming, my current swimming record is 15 laps, so 2mins per lap.
I still suck at freestyle swimming because I tend to lose stamina or panic at the last few meters. I could do a full lap on freestyle, but I'd be gasping for air.
For the record, I started the whole swimming thing because I thought it would help my back recover faster because of the zero impact excercise and I would have less strain on my back. Sometimes I think just leaving it as it is may have cured my back anyway.
Other than that, the steel casio watch that I used had rust on its lock. Dammit. So I'm switching to the cheapo rubber watch that I got from redeeming my credit card points.
My goggles are very foggy after a few minutes of use. I think I'll have to buy an anti-fog spray or something.
As of now, my weight is around 84-85kg. I'm targeting 72 but god knows how I'll get there.
I installed Noom Fitness Coach but... meh. 3 days in, and I've totally forgotten about the app.
I also had burger king for lunch. With fricking fried starch fries.
So thats it. I'll keep myself posted on other skips that I have during this life changing (?) experience. Just another 79 days to go.
