satu benda yang aku nak dari dulu lagi: torrent enabled HDD (expandable and swappable) which I can hook up to my TV. NAS is like okay, but macam susah la plak nak guna, and is also expensive.
My current workaround now is leaving my old laptop on 24/7, turn on torrent, put in RSS, hook up to an external 2TB HDD (like toaster), and let it run. When I'm feeling like I want to waste some time, I copy the files to my phone/other portable HDD, then hook it up to my other HD-capable laptop to play, or just play it on my phone.
In most cases, in fact, for the last 3-4 months, I haven't even been accessing those files that my laptop has downloaded. Semua donlot on handphone and watch from there.
So with the android mini-pc, I'm hoping that at least I can watch the videos that I've downloaded on torrent.
願わくば, I'd also want to easily copy files from my phone to the HDD. I mean, like automatically. Kinda like how you automatically backup your files onto iCloud or Dropbox, but in this case, the target would be my home HDD.
Another thing that would be cool is to have my old android tablet which I got from Eja to be used as a digital photoframe that pulls the pictures from the home HDD rather than copying them to an SD card or pulling the photos from Flickr.
So in short, I'd like a central HDD (or very, very, very cheap NAS) to:
- store downloaded torrents
- automatically store pictures/videos from my handphone
- serve pictures/videos to my tablet.
- serve music to my Squeezebox (which means the slimserver is running from the HDD)
- serve HD videos/movies to devices WITHOUT any lag.
Balik kang buat diagram how the mini-PC would work.
