NEX-5

Okay, since my last ordeal with my Finepix Z80, I decided to buy Sony's NEX-5.

With rm800 in my pocket and my plastic card, I settled for the dual lens at rm2.8k (meaning I'll be stuck with the rm2000 bill for the rest of the year... and the following year).

Asal2 beli dual lens because I thought I could take macro with the pancake lens and everything else with the all-purpose lens. Turns out I was wrong. Haha.

The pancake is for WIDE angles, so naturally (?) it won't take proper macro shots. Biasa la aku ni noob, so main beli je la. I mean, the more the better, right?

So kalo nak amik macro kena la beli adaptor, then beli macro lens. Ni besar kemungkinan kena tanya sifu2 sony like Mr. Link and Mr. E-ju.

Aside from that, the camera is a wonderful thing. I don't have as many blurs under low light, speed and zoom. Pictures are always vividly colored, which provides less time with Lightroom (compared to the Z80 of course).

However, one thing that bothers me is that the macro shots are always a little bit out of focus. Of course this may be because of the multi-purpose 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 lens, but all in all, did not fare as well as I had expected.

As for the inaugural shots from my NEX-5 during the Bon Odori last Saturday, I'd say that it did its job well (from a noob standpoint-lah).

But biarlah semua tu. Aku dah penat. Nak tido.
